Lejun (Angela) Liu was born on January 22, 2002 in Beijing, China. After graduating from elementary school in Beijing, Angela wanted her to pursue an education that puts creativity and self-identity before testing scores. Therefore, turning thirteen, Angela moved to her uncle’s house in Akron, Ohio, and attended St. Hilary middle school. In 2016, Angela was admitted to Gilmour Academy as a Freshman. At Gilmour, Angela joined the varsity tennis team and varsity cheerleading team. She is also involved in international club, radio club, science club, psychology club, and homework club. In Angela’s sophomore year at Gilmour, she found herself interested in journalism and media. Having interned at a television production company over the summer, Angela is excited to continue her path in journalism with the Lance. Angela is also passionate about doing service works, especially helping young people and people with special needs. In the future, she wishes to on to more service trips to help out people in different countries. Angela also enjoys reading different types of literatures and wants to incorporate what she has learned from professional writers' writings into her own work. Working with the Lance, Angela’s aspiration is to make positive impacts on the world through her own ideas and writings.
