Girls Cross Country Team Competes at States

The Girls Cross Country team is ranked #7 in Ohio in Division III.  According to Head Coach Mr. Matt Lindley, these high-performing runners have persevered through a tough schedule this fall to prepare them for the post-season.

The girls’ squad is a mix of talented veterans, including Captain Caitrina Barton (’21), along with Mary Lombardo (’22) and Mia Polisena (’22), with superb newcomers among the freshmen including Amy Weybrecht (’24) and Gia Rosko (’24).

Weybrecht ranks as the team’s top runner so far, having placed first in a number of races. Weybrecht recently ran a career-best 18:49 in the 5K to place 4th all-time in Gilmour Cross Country history.

To see the girls compete at the state level, Coach Lindley provided this Livestream Link. The State race begins at 10 A.M. on Friday, November 6.
