The Bright Side:
When it comes to the coronavirus (COVID-19), I believe that even though it has had a terrible impact on our world, there might actually be some good that comes out of this tragic pandemic.
The virus has shut down businesses, sports, schools, countries, and even the Olympics. You can’t even go out of your house to see a movie. With all this bad though, I feel that this is a good time for everyone to take a step back and rethink how we go about our daily lives.
Before the pandemic, people may have been less inclined to wash their hands often, take showers every morning, and brush their teeth every day. These are daily things that everyone should want to always do without even thinking. This pandemic has at least increased our attention to personal hygiene.
Take Care of Yourself:
Personal hygiene is so important for public health. If we don’t keep up with daily cleanliness, we will open ourselves up to even more problems, more diseases, and more risk. We know people die from sickness. Under quarantine, we can spend quality time with family and make real connections with each other. We have to stay healthy to stay connected.
Before this pandemic happened, some people were only focused on their work or school, and may barely see the rest of their family on any given day. We realize now that personal hygiene impacts everyone, family or not. Even though taking the utmost care of oneself at all times is hard work, that high level of personal care is needed for everyone to survive, especially during these challenging times.
